Update on 4oD it seems after all this time it was just down to my settings on the server, so you should have no problem watching via the proxy, but if things change again there are the youtube channels who’s links are below.
Channel 4oD
Up until now it has been messy to watch 4oD via a proxy server if you are outside of the UK, but I am pleased to say that you can watch the channel 4oD via Youtube, in excellent quality, having just tested it out.
So if you have been missing Time Team, Hollyoaks or wanted to catch up on Shameless or maybe Celebrity Big Brother, that is your preferred choice of entertainment, then if so you can use this proxy and pop over to watch the 4oD Channel (4 on demand.)
I have to admit this is a huge relief and for me and fellow expats, so for now it is sorted until the next change in technology.

Good info. These type of viewing restrictions are a problem for a lot of people across the world, not only when trying to view BBC iPlayer but even Hulu and other sites and apps. Problem solved!
